SCHEDULE A VISIT
Whether you are coming from away or have lived in Portland, Maine all your life, you need to experience Waynflete for yourself. We invite families to visit campus to get a better sense of the informal moments that make Waynflete special. Through tours, student visits, and a short parent interview, we hope you will come away with a greater understanding of our school. We will work with your family to make your visit as convenient and enjoyable as possible.
SCHEDULE | Fill out our inquiry form and the Admission Office will be in touch to schedule a parent tour or student visit. |
While families may request a tour at any time of year, student visit days begin in October for Middle and Upper School applicants and November for Lower School applicants.
Visits for students in grades 1–11 start at 8:00 a.m. Parents of students in Early Childhood and Kindergarten programs typically tour the school first, then schedule a visit for their child in January.
Lunch is provided for visitors spending the full day on campus. Lower School visitors should bring clothing appropriate for outdoor play (boots, raincoat, snow pants, hats and mittens), as students participate in recess in all kinds of weather. Lower School visitors should also bring a mid-morning snack, a pair of sneakers for physical education class, and a silent reading book. Middle and Upper School visitors may also wish to bring a book in case of any quiet time in classes they are visiting. Sneakers are also encouraged in case students visit a physical education class. Waynflete does not have a student dress code, so be comfortable.
EVENTS | Waynflete hosts many engaging and informative admission events for prospective families throughout the year, both in-person and virtual. Browse our admission event calendar for details. |
